On November 10, 2025, in Changsha, a 15-member Moroccan delegation met over 170 Hunan companies at the Morocco-Hunan Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum, organized by the Moroccan Embassy in China and Hunan’s Commerce Department.
The two-day event focused on industrial equipment, automotive, electronics, renewables, biotech, and agriculture from Hunan, and agri-food, construction, textiles, logistics, and consulting from Morocco. Ambassador Abdelkader El Ansari highlighted Morocco’s free-trade agreements with the EU, U.S., and Africa. A tripartite agreement was signed between Xiangjiang New Area’s Science and Technology Exchange Center, Morocco’s National Center for Industrial Technologies, and the Sino-Franco-Moroccan Exchange Association to facilitate B2B partnerships.
The forum follows Morocco’s selection to host a special edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Fair in June 2026. Bilateral trade reached $9.04 billion in 2024 according to official records.
