Shanghai Ingin Auto Technology Co., Ltd. (INGIN), a Chinese leader in automotive smart closure systems, has announced its first overseas industrial investment. The company will establish a production unit at Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City through local subsidiary Ingin Intelligent Morocco, with an investment exceeding 200 million Moroccan Dirhams ($20 million USD).

Founded in Shanghai in 2017, INGIN specializes in Smart Frunk Systems, Smart Side Doors, and Smart Liftgates for electric vehicles. The company is recognized as a national "Specialized Little Giant" enterprise.

The Tangier Tech facility will manufacture Smart Frunk Systems, strategically located near key client Stellantis, which produces hundreds of thousands of vehicles annually at its Kenitra plant.

This marks INGIN's first production base outside China. The company counts Xiaomi Group, NIO Capital, and BAIC Capital among its strategic investors.
