Lingyun Industrial Corporation (凌云股份), a top Chinese auto parts manufacturer, has unveiled plans for two new factories in Morocco, highlighting the country’s rising industrial appeal.
The first facility, with an $8 million investment, will produce automotive fluid pipelines for major clients like Tesla, Volvo, Stellantis, Magna, and Plastic Omnium. A second plant, established through a joint venture with Haomei New Materials and backed by $13.8 million, will manufacture lightweight aluminum structures—such as battery trays and roll-formed parts—for global EV leaders including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, and Volkswagen.
This expansion strengthens Morocco’s role as a key hub in the global automotive supply chain, leveraging its industrial zones, cost-competitive workforce, and proximity to European markets.
