Kaizhong Completes Moroccan Subsidiary Registration for Polyurethane and Auto Parts Plant

Chinese automotive components manufacturer Shanghai Kaizhong Material Technology has completed the registration of its wholly-owned Moroccan subsidiary, SKZ POLYTECH MOROCCO SARLAU, located in the Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City free zone.

The company's board approved the initial investment of up to $5.6 million USD (approximately 56 million Moroccan Dirhams) in January 2025, with the final investment amount subject to market conditions and regulatory requirements. The subsidiary has a registered capital of €1.5 million and is wholly owned by the group's Hong Kong-based entity, Carthane International (Hong Kong) Limited.

The facility will focus on the development, production, and sale of polyurethane materials and automotive components. This strategic move positions the company closer to its European and African clients, reducing logistics costs and delivery times.

Kaizhong, founded over 20 years ago, is a global leader in suspension systems, pedal assemblies, and high-performance polyurethane wheels. It supplies over 50 major automakers including Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, General Motors, and SAIC-GM, with existing international operations in Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Mexico.

This expansion follows the growing trend of Chinese industrial investments in Morocco's automotive ecosystem, strengthening the Kingdom's position as a manufacturing hub connecting Africa and Europe.
