Hainan Lizheng Energy Technology to Establish Subsidiary in Morocco for Metals Trading

Hainan Lizheng  has announced plans to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Morocco with registered capital of $3 million USD (approximately 28 million Moroccan Dirhams). The company's board of directors approved the resolution on September 8, 2026.

The new subsidiary will be named Morocco Lizheng Resources Co., Ltd. and will be fully owned by Hainan Lizheng. Its core business scope includes investment trade, mining, smelting, processing, and mineral and metal trading. The investment will be funded entirely through the company's own funds.

Despite its name referencing energy, Hainan Lizheng primarily operates in the trading of non-ferrous metals and alloy materials. Its business activities include metal and alloy sales, covering wholesale and retail distribution of non-ferrous metal alloys and precious metal products. The company also trades energy commodities such as coal, petroleum products, and chemical materials, and acts as a trade and import/export agency.

The company relocated its headquarters to Haikou, Hainan Province in late 2024 and declared non-ferrous metals and alloys trading as its core business. In July 2026, its business scope was significantly expanded to cover import-export, metal ore and metal materials trading, petroleum products, coal, certain chemicals, new energy-related equipment, and equity investments.

The Morocco project follows the company's first overseas establishment in September 2025, when it approved the creation of a wholly-owned Hong Kong subsidiary with registered capital of $500,000.

The board cited evolving international competition, expansion of overseas operations, and a new allocation of group resources as reasons for establishing the Moroccan subsidiary.
