In a strong vote of confidence for Morocco's industrial strategy, Jiangsu Aishelun Medical Technology Group Co., Ltd. has officially approved a major increase in its investment in the Kingdom. The Chinese group's board has raised the funding ceiling for its Moroccan subsidiary from an initial $5.35 million (53.8 million Moroccan Dirhams / MAD) to $21.4 million (215.2 million MAD), quadrupling its original commitment.
The substantial funds will be directed toward the first phase of constructing a 31,348-square-meter industrial plant within the strategic Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City. A specific construction contract, valued at $14.1 million (151.75 million MAD), has been earmarked for this phase, which will include production workshops, logistics warehouses, and administrative buildings on a total land area of 59,695 m².
This decision, approved unanimously by the company's board, underscores a strategic deepening of its engagement. The project, operated through its wholly-owned indirect subsidiary InnovMed Tech Group Co., Ltd., aims to establish a production base for medical devices and related health technology equipment.
This move supports Morocco’s aim to develop local advanced healthcare manufacturing and reduce import dependency.
