Boway Alloy’s $150M Morocco Factory Taps High-Tech Alloy Boom

Nador, November 10th, 2025

On November 7, 2025, Ningbo Boway Alloy Material Co., Ltd. (601137.SH), a leading Chinese alloy producer, announced an investment of up to $150 million for a new production base in Morocco, replacing a canceled Vietnam project.

The wholly-owned subsidiary, Boway Alloy New Materials (Morocco) Co., Ltd., will construct a facility producing 30,000 tons of special alloy electronic material strips annually for semiconductors and new energy applications. Construction is set to begin in October 2026, with a 36-month timeline and expected IRR of 16.72%. Boway, with 2024 revenue of RMB 3.5 billion ($490 million), exports to over 50 countries and focuses on high-precision alloys for electronics.

Morocco’s strategic location and free-trade agreements with the EU and U.S. position it as an ideal hub for Boway to serve global supply chains.
